It is that time of year

We have reached the point in the year where we have to say goodbye to our members who are graduating and this year we are losing some pivotal and inspirational characters from Manchester.We say goodbye to Matt Strong, Alan Scobbie, Dom Benson and Adele Reynolds. All four have made a significant contribution to Manchester Labour Students and the Labour Party.

Matt and Alan in particular have been two figures that have had a huge impact on Labour Students in Manchester.

Matt Strong played a pivotal role in building the Labour Club to what it is now and without him the Labour Club would not have achieved the successes that it has over the last few years under his stewardship. His leadership and firm style will be greatly missed.

Alan Scobbie single handily formed a Labour Club at Manchester Metropolitan University from nothing. His dedication and tenacity has been nothing short of inspirational to all those around him.

Matt and Alan are moving on next year to run Labour Students nationally and it is with a very warm heart that we wish them all the best for the future.
