Update
It has been a little while since there has been a blog post. Not much has happen really apart from:
- Barack Obama being elected President of the United States along with massive success for Democrats in the House and Senate
- Labour winning the Glenrothes by-election against all the odds by 6,737, not bad for one we were expected to lose – with many members of Manchester Labour Students campaigning there right up until Polling Day
- Our Students’ Union, UMSU, passing a No-Platform policy and sweeping reforms to Students’ Union Council making it more democratic and sensible
- Our Chair, Mike Joslin, being elected Chair of North West Young Labour at North West Regional Conference
- Lots of Yes campaigning ahead of the Greater Manchester Transport Referendum – Vote YES by the way!
Ok, so quite a lot of stuff has happened.
