I’d like to echo what Rob has said, the first half of this academic year has been amazingly successful for Manchester Labour Students.

This year we have record numbers of members, our new members have shown themselves to be enthusiastic, committed to the Labour cause and great additions to the club. Some of our new members have recently been elected our new Executive Committee and personally I’m excited to be working with them to deliver another successful Semester.

I would like to thank last year’s Executive Committee and Freshers' Week team who worked very hard during the first few weeks of term as well as all last year, especially Mike Joslin who has worked incredibly hard as Chair to make many of things Rob mentioned happen (even helping out Obama!)

It has been a great 2008. Bring on 2009.
